Shipping Policy
1 | How We Deliver
We post out using a third party courier, DPD, on a next day delivery service (if you order before 11am) Monday to Thursday. We aim to get all deliveries on the requested day but please be advised, this may not always be possible at peak times throughout the year and we cannot be held responsible if the package is delayed. Please order with plenty of time for arrival, thank you. We post throughout mainland UK (as determined by DHLs shipping policies, please contact us to check if your area is included in their Mainland UK region) free of charge, please check the postal price for the area you are sending to (eg Channel Islands (£14), North Scotland (£12), and Isle of Man (£14), Isle of Wight (£14), parts of Scotland (£9)) as these will be different to our standard pricing and delivery method.
We do not offer weekend delivery, orders placed on Fridays will arrive on Monday, orders placed Saturday or Sunday will be posted out on Mondays. Please allow one day for processing.
As with any third party delivery service, we cannot guarantee dates for delivery, whilst 99.9% will arrive on the chosen day, please ensure you allow contingency time, especially at busy times such as Christmas and Easter, or bank holiday times. As our Brownies will last in the fridge for two weeks once you receive them, ensuring you order early if you need them for a specific date is recommended.
In the unlikely event of a problem with your order, please do contact us at hello@thebesteverbrowniecompany.co.uk .
2 | Choosing A Delivery Date
We use DPD next day delivery service that delivers on weekdays only, if you choose a specific date we will try our very hardest to get it to arrive on that date but please note that we do rely on this third party service, so please allow plenty of time for delivery.
NON MAINLAND POSTCODES: Please note if the address being posted to is not within mainland UK, there will be an increased postage charge and the delivery will take from 48-72 hours to be delivered. The brownies themselves will be absolutely fine, but please note the times are longer so do take this into consideration. Thank you.
3 | Missed Deliveries and Perishable Items
We entrust our third party courier DPD with our parcels, which must be signed for. If you are sending these as a gift, we strongly advise you let your gift recipient know they are going to receive a parcel, and if they are not in, you can opt to leave it in a safe place, away from pets and children on their behalf. You can do this by referring to the consignment email DPD send you to confirm delivery.
The email address entered on your order will be used for updates regarding your delivery. Please note this is a perishable item, if your recipient is unavailable and no notes have been given to leave it safe, DPD will not leave it and notification will be sent to the email address provided. There will be one more attempt to deliver the next day, and you can then ask for it to be left in a safe place, or, rearrange an alternative day for delivery. DPD will only attempt two deliveries.
They cannot attempt more than two deliveries due to the nature of the perishable product, and the parcel will be returned to the depot and will be destroyed by them. We ask you be mindful of this when placing your order as we cannot take responsibility for missed delivery attempts after reasonable steps have been taken to deliver by DPD.
